Irish prepositions/réamhfhocail chomhshuite and examples of use

I already have notes on the réamhfhocail chomhshuite posted on this blog but once again for grinds I made up a table showing the main ones and a few examples of when they are used so I thought that might be helpful!

There are lots more examples of when they are used but this is just some!

Ag, Ar, Do and Le are first because they are the most commonly used so i would recommend definitely knowing them! The others are important but not used as often so unless you are trying to do very well I wouldn't worry too much about them :)
If you have any questions about other times they are used feel free to comment below or message me on twitter :)

Irish grammar - Forainm Reamhfhocalach (eg Liom, uirthi, agat)

Irish grammar - Forainm Reamhfhocalach (eg Liom, uirthi, agat)

Fancy  Irish word but bascially it is just when you put the reamhfhocal shimplí (as, ag, ar... etc..) and the forainm (mé tú sé...) together.

So for example, instead of saying " le mé..." you say "liom" instead of saying "ar tú" you say "ort" etc etc

The reason behind it... there isnt really any, its just irish, and the grammar behind it and really you may just learn the words, sorry but there is not really any other way around it.

Some you will use more than others. I am putting the main ones here, there are others which are rarely used such as thar, um etc, the most important are probably ag, ar, le, and do, they will be used a lot and you probably already know some of them.

So am going to out the simple preposition at the top, eg le, and then the list underneath. Instead of me having to write out mé tú sé.. all the time i will just write them for the first one and that will be the order they are in for the rest :)

If you are confused about any of it please feel free to comment.
